Strategic Technology Portfolio Manager

The Strategic Initiatives organization plays a vital role in partnering with senior leaders across various technology organizations to ensure effective governance over top strategic initiatives. This position involves providing end-to-end program management for critical cross-asset regulatory programs.
This Lead Technology Program Manager is responsible for closely following the latest trends in their field and adapting them to achieve business objectives. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate at a senior level, while also providing transparency to senior stakeholders and auditors from Technology. This role necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy, serving as an influencer with a strong focus on communication and people management skills.
- Identify key stakeholders and organizations, building and maintaining relationships that drive strategic objectives.
- SUPPORTS PLANNING, DIRECTING, AND COORDINATION OF DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES IN RUNNING A PROGRAM OR PORTFOLIO OF PROGRAMS.
- Ensure creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
- Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro-level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management.
- Surface risks or issues which may impact program delivery and ensures mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
- Exercises shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation, and planning.
- Manage a team of employees located in various locations across Europe and Canada.
- Evaluate subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, and other personnel actions.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in Program and Project Management.
- 7-8 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably for a bank/broker-dealer.
- Complex projects managed for a major investment bank.
- Solid grounding in capital markets (any asset class), preferably including OTC derivatives.
- Delivering projects in geographically diverse, multi-team environments.
- Experience working with Agile development teams and scaling Agile to complex programs.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Compensation:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, Citi provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
