Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in the Radiation Therapy / Treatment Planning Department. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing state-of-the-art planning, simulation, and treatment for patients with cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and educate patients on radiation treatment options
  • Plan and administer radiation treatment to patients
  • Document prescriptions and related patient treatment information
  • Participate in undergraduate student education, quality assurance programs, research, and continuing education
Requirements
  • Current Radiation Therapist registration with the CMRTO
  • Current OAMRT and CAMRT membership
  • Current BCLS certification with ongoing re-certification
  • Minimum 3 years recent and relevant Radiation Therapist experience
  • MRI Certification preferred
  • IV Insertion Certification considered an asset
  • Volunteer participation in recent and relevant Radiation Therapy working groups and/or committees
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development
  • Excellent technical, communication, patient assessment, and critical analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, compassion, initiative when dealing with patients/families
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize workload
  • Knowledge of computer systems and general office software
