Job Title: Commercial Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Solicitor to join our team at GPAC, a renowned search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. As a Commercial Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and services in areas including commercial and corporate law, contract law, construction law, wills and estates, conveyancing, and immigration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and Review Legal Documents: You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, wills, estates, and representation agreements.
  • Commercial Conveyancing and Financing Transactions: You will handle residential and commercial conveyancing and financing transactions, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Commercial Law and Contract Law: You will provide legal advice in areas such as commercial law, contract law, construction law, property assessment, and insurance, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support.
  • Corporate and Business Law: You will manage corporate and business law matters, including incorporation, dissolution, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and timely support.
  • Business Purchase and Sale: You will oversee the purchase and sale of businesses (assets and shares), ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Commercial Leasing Arrangements: You will advise on commercial leasing arrangements, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support in navigating complex commercial transactions.
  • Immigration Law: You will offer legal support in immigration matters, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support in navigating complex immigration laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge and Skills: You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance and support in navigating complex legal issues.
  • Client Service: You will provide exceptional client service, addressing legal issues promptly and efficiently, and ensuring that clients receive timely and effective support.
Qualifications:
  • Law Degree: You must hold a degree in law (LLB or JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Bar Admission: You must be admitted to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience: You must have a minimum of five years of experience as a solicitor with a strong background in insurance.
  • Skills: You must be proficient in legal drafting and providing general legal advice in commercial, contract, and construction law, and have a solid understanding of corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and commercial leasing.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You must have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
