About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Whistler Health Centre in Whistler, BC.

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will work with individuals experiencing substance misuse and mental health issues, providing comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and support services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent assessments and provide therapy sessions for clients with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both substance misuse and mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care and support services.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a Behavioural Health Discipline from a recognized program.
  • Three (3) years' recent experience providing professional services to individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and ability to travel locally.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is approximately CAD $48.00 - CAD $58.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
