Job Summary

As a Security Officer 2-GRR, you will play a vital role in protecting the Company's assets and ensuring the safety and security of our guests and team members. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards, and prepare written and electronic statements.
  • Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons and observe transactions, slot drops, and transfer items to Lost & Found.
  • Perform identification checks on guests under 30 and refer disputes to the Supervisor, Security.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property as assigned and escort guests and team members.
  • Perform crowd control as directed and attend to first aid incidents.
  • Assist the Supervisor, Security with enrolling guests in the Self-Exclusion program and ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education an asset.
  • Two (2) years of experience working with the public in a service role or in the service industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Previous experience or training in security an asset.
  • Valid class driver's license and current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Inquisitive and investigative mind, able to identify suspicious behaviors/transactions and make sound judgments based on this.
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and ability to organize data with great accuracy.
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation an asset.
  • Self-motivator and ability to inspire other team members in enhancing the guest experience within the entertainment business.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to work independently, without close direct supervision, and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure.
Work Environment Considerations
  • Regular casino/Racino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, non-traditional work hours.
