Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Events Coordinator to join our team at ONTARIO SKYJUMP INC. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events with precision and attention to detail.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in event planning and coordination, with a proven track record of delivering successful events. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement event strategies, manage logistics, and ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute special events, including set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events
  • Manage event budgets, prepare financial reports, and monitor expenses
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed
  • Research and design special events programs, including social programs, food and beverage, transportation, and other services
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  • Implement business plans and develop marketing strategies to increase revenue
  • Monitor and maintain computer and technology systems, including MS Access, Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Windows
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in event planning and coordination
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000-$65,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of experience required. The salary range may vary depending on individual qualifications and performance.
