About Colas Western Canada Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Grader Operator to join our team at Colas Western Canada Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in our Goal Zero Initiative, adhering to defined activities for your position.
  • Conduct equipment checks and report mechanical issues to mechanics and supervisors.
  • Identify hazards on site and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Learn general construction practices involving road construction and ground disturbance.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and maintain a valid driver's license (class 5).
  • Meet and adhere to all safety requirements and applicable policies, including pre-employment testing.
  • Maintain active membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 955.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Grader operating experience.
  • Experience in finishing roads and stabilizing.
  • Ability to work in highly congested areas and perform heavy tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license (class 5).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet safety requirements.
