Capital Planning and Implementation Director Role

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Director, Capital Planning and Implementation to lead our multi-year capital program. This role requires strategic planning, effective governance, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive capital planning and governance structures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and manage capital projects.
  • Lead a team of professionals in project management, coordination, and delivery.
  • Ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including University executives, Board of Governors, and external funders.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in commerce, business administration, finance, or risk management.
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience in complex organizations with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Recognized project management credential (PMP, PRINCE2, or PMAC).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Strategic thinking, critical decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
