Food Safety Compliance Specialist

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the execution of our HACCP system, Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and execute quality and food safety processes (SOPS)
- Execute various initiatives to improve the quality and safety of our process and products based on facts and data.
- Ensure that critical food safety and quality data is tracked and trended for process understanding and continuous improvement purposes
- Execute Hold and Release Program in SAP
- Provides technical guidance to production staff
- Assist and accompany CFIA inspectors during performance of their tasks
- Investigate complaints and develop responses for customer complaints and consumer.
- Non-Compliance Reports (Deviations) and in-house disposition of materials placed On Hold including completing Risk Assessments to determine product disposition.
- Maintain and update current HACCP system and business unit Food Safety and Quality programs and/or SOPs
- Issue corrective actions, if necessary, based on deviations found in plant process or resulting from customer complaints or audits
- Participate in Food Safety meetings and audits
- Internal audits to comply with pre-requisites bullets, HACCP plans and customer requirements.
- A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year
