Job Overview

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the execution of our HACCP system, Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and execute quality and food safety processes (SOPS)
  • Execute various initiatives to improve the quality and safety of our process and products based on facts and data.
  • Ensure that critical food safety and quality data is tracked and trended for process understanding and continuous improvement purposes
  • Execute Hold and Release Program in SAP
  • Provides technical guidance to production staff
  • Assist and accompany CFIA inspectors during performance of their tasks
  • Investigate complaints and develop responses for customer complaints and consumer.
  • Non-Compliance Reports (Deviations) and in-house disposition of materials placed On Hold including completing Risk Assessments to determine product disposition.
  • Maintain and update current HACCP system and business unit Food Safety and Quality programs and/or SOPs
  • Issue corrective actions, if necessary, based on deviations found in plant process or resulting from customer complaints or audits
  • Participate in Food Safety meetings and audits
  • Internal audits to comply with pre-requisites bullets, HACCP plans and customer requirements.
