Developmental Services Worker

Dengarry Professional Services Ltd is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Services Worker to join our team. This role involves providing support to individuals with intellectual, physical, or mental disabilities in various settings.
About the RoleThis is a Casual position, offering flexible hours ranging from 1 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a secondary school graduation certificate and be willing to train. Experience in the field is not necessary, as training will be provided.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Developmental Services Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as housekeeping and food preparation.
- Accompanying clients to appointments and social outings.
- Implementing behavior management programs to support clients' needs.
- Liaising with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Screening, recruiting, and training volunteers and support staff.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (with mileage reimbursed by the employer).
- The ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
