We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Operations Clerk to join our Financial Operations Unit in the Department of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and frequent interruptions.

The ideal candidate will have experience administering financial policies, procedures, and guidelines, preferably in a government setting. They will also possess strong attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptable.

As an Accounts Payable Operations Clerk, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the vendor system, assisting internal and external clients with payment information, and performing all payment functions. You will also be responsible for the daily balancing and monthly reconciliations of the Accounts Payable Ledger.

  • Coursework in Office Administration, Business Administration, Accounting or related field
  • Experience with accounting functions in a computerized setting such as SAGE, Quick Books or FMIS
  • Experience administering financial policies, procedures, and guidelines preferably in a government setting
  • Experience with various reconciliations
