About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at A1 TRANSPORT HOT SHOT & EXPRESS SERVICES INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service to our customers.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Use Maps and Planning Aids: Utilize maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Record Trip Information: Accurately record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered during delivery.
  • Provide Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during delivery.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Transportation Experience: Have local transportation experience, with a strong understanding of routes and traffic patterns.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain a clean driving record, with a valid driving abstract.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills.
