About the Role

Tencent, a leading global technology company, is seeking an experienced Senior Monetization Specialist to join its TiMi Montréal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new AAA, open-world game based on a new IP.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement product monetization business strategies, including live performance management.
  • Foster strong relationships with the development team to ensure collaborative achievement of product goals.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic feedback on game performance, utilizing knowledge of the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with the core game development team to define commercial vision, rich engaging gameplay, and driving overall reach.
  • Provide detailed insights on game and business model design to directly influence game development.
  • Deliver against commercial forecasts and goals, reporting upwards to executive level.
  • Identify player needs and spot opportunities to build features that improve engagement and retention.
  • Manage all communication on a monthly basis for KPIs, OKRs, and other metrics during testing, through launch, and beyond.
  • Drive forecasting and budget input.
  • Utilize extensive game analytics and analysis to monitor game performance, identifying opportunities to increase user conversion, retention, and monetization.
  • Manage strategy and provide input into plans for strong player-facing communications and in-game events.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product management.
  • Proven experience delivering product plans that maximize revenue.
  • An individual who can influence strategy and drive outcomes at all phases of game development.
  • Experience with Games-as-a-Services titles is a must.
  • At least one AAA action title shipped.
  • At least one product shipped of the current generation of games (PS4/XBOX ONE).
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and visually, with a positive attitude and a desire to bring new ideas to the team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
