Early Childhood Educator Opportunity

The Greater Victoria School District No. 61 is seeking a certified Early Childhood Educator to join our team in kindergarten and early primary classrooms.

About the Role

Under the direction of the early learning and child care District Principal, the ECE will work alongside teachers to plan and facilitate play-based learning inquiries. The classroom-based ECE will be responsible for facilitating practices aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework and collaborating with teachers and school administration to create a support plan that serves each student's personal developmental pathway.

Requirements
  • Certificate in Early Childhood Education (two year)
  • Valid License issued by Community Care Facilities Branch BC
  • Valid Child Safe First Aid Certificate
  • One (1) year experience working with children in the early years (birth – 8 years)
What We Offer

This is an on-call position with the potential for continuing employment. The successful candidate will be paid at a rate of $29.71 per hour, plus 13% in lieu of benefits, as per the CUPE 947 Collective Agreement.
