Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances effectively.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is stocked and displayed in a way that appeals to our customers.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that our staff are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service to our customers.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help us make informed business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is always well-stocked.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our staff to ensure that they are working together effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
