Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at NPM Construction Inc.

Job Summary

The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces, working closely with our team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet specifications
  • Fills hollows and removes spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
  • Operates power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Works at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures
  • Imparts desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Instructs apprentices and ensures they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties
  • Applies hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces
  • Repairs, resurfaces, and replaces worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality

  • Physically demanding work environment with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Handling heavy loads and working at heights
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
