Job Summary
The Human Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR function at Edge OFS. This position is responsible for facilitating various HR processes, providing administrative support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR department with administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, record-keeping, and HRIS entry.
- Coordinate candidate pre-employment processes, including background checks, motor vehicle reports, and drug screenings.
- Provide ongoing support to employees, responding to inquiries and composing internal documents.
- Maintain spreadsheets and online reporting systems to provide current information to the HR department and operations.
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, recommending corrective action.
- Compile reports from various database systems and track candidate status in the applicant tracking system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations related to HR practices.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years related experience required.
- CHRP credential preferred.
