We are seeking a skilled Compensation and Benefits Strategist to join our team at MEDA Engineering and Technical Services. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and ensuring compliance with group benefit, pension, RRSP, compensation, and total reward programs across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation, implementation, and administration of all compensation programs, including salary programs and labour market surveys.
  • Collect hourly pay data for use during collective bargaining.
  • Maintain performance evaluations and provide analysis on salary grades, ensuring that salary changes are completed related to promotions and performance reviews.
  • Work closely with the HRIS Data Analyst to improve benefits/pension audits, identify discrepancies/errors related to eligibility enrollments, termination, waiver of premium benefit plan deductions, etc.
  • Support annual pension filing.
  • Administer retirement plans, setting up information sessions as needed and conducting periodic audits regarding contributions and eligibility.
  • Evaluate and update Total Rewards, Service Awards, Employee Assistance programs, and policies to ensure they are up-to-date.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration; CEBS Designation ideal, CHRP considered an asset.
  • Advanced Excel skills, particularly for data analysis, business acumen, relationship management, HR expertise, communication, HR systems, and cultural awareness.
  • A thorough understanding of local, provincial, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to quickly learn our organization's HRIS, payroll, and employee management software.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
