Job Title: High-Profile Construction Manager Position
About Us: Peter Lucas Project Management Inc. is a leading provider of project delivery services, investing in people, community, and cutting-edge technology to achieve gold-standard results.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Construction Manager to join our team.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with multiple teams and stakeholders, overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. This includes ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans and timelines that outline key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, contractors, and vendors as the primary point of contact for efficient project delivery.
- Lead construction teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet project objectives.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify and develop strategies for mitigating risks.
- Prepare and present reports on project status to stakeholders.
- Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and inspections are scheduled and completed.
- Oversee final inspection and handover to clients, ensuring all documents are provided.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a civil construction supervisor with a proven track record of leading or monitoring civil installations.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in civil industrial construction and quality management.
- Experience with earthworks and site preparation.
- Background in underground works (water, sewer, firewater, stormwater) and foundations/concrete structures.
- Familiarity with structural steel systems.
- Preferred minimum of 5 years' experience in power plant or industrial facility construction and maintenance projects.
- Construction safety expertise, including first aid.
- Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Lock out Tag out certifications.
- Previous experience working in various generating station types, including coal-fired, gas-fired, hydroelectric, and wind.
