About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Microbiological Research Technician to join our team at Merieux Nutrisciences. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses, as well as assisting in the analysis of data and preparation of reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Microbiological and Biochemical Tests: Assist in conducting biological tests and laboratory analyses, including microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses.
  • Set Up and Conduct Biological Tests: Set up and conduct biological tests and laboratory analyses, including microbiological tests and laboratory analyses.
  • Assist in Data Analysis: Assist in the analysis of data and preparation of reports, including data analysis and interpretation.
  • Operational Programs: Conduct or supervise operational programs, including laboratory testing and analysis.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Biochemical and molecular techniques, laboratory testing and analysis, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Industry Experience: Applied research, food industry.
  • Area of Specialization: Microbiology, biotechnology.

  • Work Setting: Urban area, laboratory.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, standing for extended periods.
