Empire Life is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist II to join our Group Underwriting team. Based in Canada, this role will involve reviewing and assessing the risk for requests to quote, amendments, and renewals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 3+ years of experience in group insurance/financial services industry. As a Risk Management Specialist II, you will:

  • Process non-complex and complex requests to quote, amendments, and renewals accurately and within established turnaround times.
  • Lead quoting, amending, and renewal activity in both the non-complex and complex space, focusing on establishing and growing long-term partnerships.
  • Determine optimal solutions to meet customer needs and requirements using experience and judgment in conjunction with underwriting guidelines, product and service knowledge.

You will work collaboratively with other team members to support processing requirements, interact with reinsurance providers, and proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to support client acquisition and retention.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an individual with strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and interpretation skills, as well as proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. A GBA or CEBS designation is an asset, but not required. If you have a university degree or college diploma in a relevant field and are passionate about creating a positive impact, we want to hear from you.
