Job Title: Showroom Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Showroom Consultant to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Showroom Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs and provide expert advice on product features and benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with designers, builders, and architects to drive sales and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest product trends and technologies to provide accurate and informed advice to customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Enter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases, and maintain proactive communication with customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain product literature and display materials to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college and/or university degree an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales preferred.
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the showroom and provide solutions to customer needs.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close the sale.
  • Possess excellent project management skills.
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
  • Intermediate math skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
  • Interior design experience.
