The Role: Accounts Payable SpecialistThis full-time position involves working on-site at our Etobicoke office. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving and processing invoices, ensuring accurate matches against subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Analyzing draw percentages and entering invoices into our accounting software.
- Obtaining necessary approvals and compiling documents for payment review.
- Entering subcontracts and POs into the accounting system.
- Scheduling bi-weekly payment runs and handling off-cycle payments when required.
- Reviewing and reconciling account statements, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrections.
- Managing the Accounts Payable mailbox and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze transactions.
- High-volume work processing with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Excel knowledge and post-secondary education in accounting.
