About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team at North York General Hospital. This is a Full Time Temporary position with 8 hour shifts, day shifts, in the Adult Mental Health Outpatient Program.

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for providing client-centered assessments, short-term structured counselling and support services for individuals and groups. You will work closely with an interdependent multidisciplinary team to promote continuity of care for clients.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with peers, physicians, staff, patients, and families. You will also have effective knowledge and written and verbal communication skills.

In this role, you will provide individual and group counselling using evidence-based therapies such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Structured therapies. You will also lead Anger Management group counselling sessions.

You will support and adhere to Hospital and College policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records and participating in education and research activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or related discipline, current membership in a Regulated Professional College, and a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in mental health.

We offer a highly competitive total compensation package that includes benefits, pension, and vacation. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $85,000-$110,000 CAD, based on experience and qualifications.
