Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced woodworker to join our team at Homeflex Builders. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and installing various components of buildings using wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • The work term is open-ended.
Responsibilities
  1. Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  2. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  3. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  4. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  5. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  6. Survey building locations and levels.
  7. Estimate costs and materials.
Requirements
  1. You should have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  2. Your experience as a carpenter should be at least 7 months but less than 1 year.
  3. You should have a strong background in working with hand tools.

As a carpenter at Homeflex Builders, you will be working in a fast-paced construction environment with varying work settings, including construction sites and offices.
