Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for drywall installation projects
  • Instruct and train apprentices in drywall installation techniques
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a smooth finish
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and panels
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be fluent in English and have a strong work ethic.
