Diesel Mechanic Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team at East Coast International Trucks, Inc. As a Diesel Mechanic Helper, you will assist our experienced technicians in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with tool handling, equipment movement, and material transportation.
  • Participate in surveying activities by holding stakes and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the public.
  • Support tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed by supervisors.
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • This role requires a physically demanding work environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work with a large workload.
  • Weight handling: up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Personal Suitability:
  • Dependability and flexibility are essential for this role.
  • Initiative and organization skills are required to prioritize tasks and manage workload.
  • Reliability and teamwork are crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Experience:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
