Job Overview:

The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management process. This involves managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing stock levels, and supporting the efficient control of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Track and monitor inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock, to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records.
  • Stock Reconciliation: Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies with recorded data to ensure efficient and effective inventory control.
  • Data Entry: Enter inventory data into the inventory management system with high accuracy, updating records for new stock, returns, and other inventory changes.
  • Order Processing: Assist with the processing of inventory orders, including receiving shipments, inspecting goods for quality and accuracy, and managing returns and exchanges.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and any issues that need attention.
  • Organizational Support: Maintain organized and clean storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and storage of inventory items to prevent damage and loss.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory control and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional certification in inventory management or a related field being a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role is preferred, with familiarity with inventory management software being beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, with proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move inventory items as needed, with some physical activity, including bending, lifting, and standing, being required.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in an indoor warehouse environment, with occasional overtime and the need to operate forklifts and other equipment.
