Job Description
  • Education: We are looking for a candidate with a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.

We are seeking a skilled Marine Diesel Engine Technician to join our team at Wiarton Marina LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical equipment, coaching and instructing apprentices, and detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical equipment
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Installing machinery and equipment
  • Commission systems and components
  • Provide technical and professional advice
