Job Description

This role involves collaborating with our delivery teams to drive superior results for clients. You will be responsible for analyzing procurement processes and developing strategies to improve efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver timely results against detailed plans, meeting milestones and delivery outcomes.
  • Engage with clients to develop tools and processes that transfer knowledge and transform strategic procurement capabilities.
  • Develop category strategies to achieve proposed results, including market analysis, supplier analysis, total cost analysis, and needs analysis.
  • SUPPORT EXECUTION OF STRATEGY by qualifying supplier participants, gathering detailed customer needs, and executing RFXs.
  • Analyze existing client procurement spend, processes, strategies, and results.
  • Establish effective working relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify and escalate add-on sales opportunities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in management, supply chain, engineering, operations management, business, or a relevant field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement strategy, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supplier relationship management, including experience with traditional purchasing processes and a combination of top-tier consulting firm and in-house/industry experience with a proven record of rapid career progression.
  • Experience with maintenance and repairs is a must (labor and materials).
  • Prior work experience in the downstream oil and gas business is required.
  • Leadership experience in complex operation transformation engagements where change management was critical to success.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing approaches and methodologies.
  • Ability to develop, sustain, and proactively manage value-added customer relationships.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve complex business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing customers and multitask multiple assignments on one engagement.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, change management, and influence skills.
  • Proven initiative, drive, and focus on details.
  • Ability to effectively manage change.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate positively, directly, and with impact to all levels.
  • Detailed-oriented problem solver with a proven ability to recognize problems and implement corrective action when needed.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 85% (Canada and US travel).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
