About the Role:
Talon Recruiting is partnering with a leading industrial equipment solutions provider to find a Director of Manufacturing to join their team in a dynamic role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the company's installation and fabrication resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to increase productivity, ensure quality, manage capacity, and mitigate production problems.
- Collaborate with other directors and managers to support company initiatives and oversee all facets of the build and NSM process.
- Ensure the provision of advanced leadership, management, mentorship, and standardization of all production processes across the company's facilities.
- Foster a solid Work Safe culture, ensuring zero lost-time incidents.
- Model and champion the company's Core Values and Core Traits.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and/or a combination of education and work experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a Manufacturing/Production/Assembly Management role within a mechanical environment with a focus towards corporate strategy.
- Strong leadership skills with proven management experience.
- Embody the company's Core Values and Traits.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
- Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing are desirable.
