Job Title: Senior Associate/Advisor, Corporate Outreach

Export Development Canada (EDC) is a financial Crown corporation dedicated to helping Canadian businesses succeed in the global market. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate/Advisor, Corporate Outreach to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate/Advisor, Corporate Outreach will support the design, execution, and evaluation of corporate outreach strategies to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. This role will involve working closely with senior members of the team and cross-functionally to execute outreach activities, develop sponsorship and partnership opportunities, and assess impact.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of plans to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Deliver sponsorship and partnership opportunities, including negotiating mutually beneficial terms and processing outcomes through internal procurement processes.
  • Research and assess stakeholder and outreach opportunities, and develop recommendations.
  • Assess the impact of delivered sponsorships and partnership agreements as part of retrospective and renewal processes.
  • Develop and design outreach opportunities for senior leadership and other key roles in the organization.
  • Prepare supporting materials, including briefing notes, event scenarios, and agendas for executive outreach.
  • Work with the Communications team and subject matter experts to support senior leadership speaking engagements and meetings.
  • Contribute to the team's executive outreach planning.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in public affairs, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years (level 15) or 5+ years (level 17) of experience in public affairs, international affairs, and/or stakeholder relations, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of EDC's mandate and Canada's trade ecosystem.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and with various levels of leadership.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Exposure to relationship management disciplines.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office Software Systems (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Sharepoint.
  • Bilingual in both official languages (English and French).
Assets:
  • Master's degree in public affairs, business administration, communications, program management, public administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing, negotiating, and managing corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Network and experience working with a variety of business, industry, civil society organizations with a focus on international trade.
  • Experience in project management or event delivery.
  • Knowledge of ADO Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to new emerging AI tools.
Salary Range:

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $62,336 to $83,116 plus a performance-based incentive.

Location:

Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment. This role will be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa or from the community hub in Toronto or Montreal. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
