Nursing Care Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:- Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
- Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments
- Supervise patients' exercise routines and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as needed
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a clean and safe environment
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients, and transport them between care facilities as required
- Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and provide assistance
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work under pressure, with repetitive tasks, and in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to distinguish between colours and maintain attention to detail
- As per collective agreement
- Permanent position
- 30 to 37 hours per week
- English language
