CATIA Die Designer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CATIA Die Designer to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating die layouts and designs, translating design intent into required manufacturing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful die manufacturing.
Your Responsibilities
- Create die layouts and designs using CATIA software
- Translate design intent into required manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with FEA Team, Program Management, Tooling, and Sales Departments
- Maintain documentation records of complete die programs
- Prepare reports and communicate required information to appropriate parties
- Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Completion of degree or certificate program in Technical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of automotive sheet metal stamping
- Full working knowledge of die-surfacing using CATIA or equivalent software
- Knowledge of CAM, CNC machining, and die making methods an asset
- Experience in reverse engineering from scan meshes (STL data) considered an asset
