Job Summary

Tower Research Capital is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security incidents, implementing countermeasures, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement countermeasures and mitigating controls to prevent or minimize the impact of security incidents.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including third-party security service providers, to triage alerts and incidents.
  • Monitor and analyze Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to identify security issues.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Document all actions taken in a ticketing system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of experience in analyzing security events, performing incident triage, and implementing countermeasures.
  • Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, network/host-based firewalls, and data leakage prevention (DLP) technologies.
  • Understanding of possible attack activities, including network probing/scanning, DDOS, and malicious code activity.
  • Experience scripting in a major language (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • Understanding of common network devices and basic networking protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Strong desire to understand the what/why/how of security incidents.
