Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a physiotherapy assistant. The successful candidate will assist our licensed physiotherapists with patient assessments, treatments, and education. Responsibilities

The physiotherapy assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting physiotherapists with patient assessments, including taking medical histories, conducting evaluative tests, and preparing treatment plans.
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering exercises, stretches, and other treatments as directed by the physiotherapist.
  • Helping patients understand their conditions and develop self-management skills through education and support.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient information, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or certificate in a related field, such as physiotherapy assisting or a related healthcare program.
  • At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service excellence.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.
