The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team in Lloydminster, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding project teams in the delivery of diverse civil engineering projects. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with municipalities, rural municipalities, counties, and cities on various infrastructure, construction, and roadworks projects.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your leadership, project management, technical design, and business development skills while being part of a well-established and recognized team. You will possess dynamic people and leadership skills, a passion for developing business opportunities, and a drive to win and execute engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed design support in the production of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, meeting all client and approval agency requirements, including new municipal utilities and road works, local government utility rehabilitation and renewal projects, and land development projects.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, calculations, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contracts.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role with a degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in the application of design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, water, and sewer modeling commercial software, Excel, and/or other related software.
- Experience with all government levels, construction contractors, and approving authorities.
- Ability to travel for occasional site visits.
- Experience working in a construction or consulting environment is an asset.
