Perinatal Knowledge Translation Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Knowledge Translation Coordinator to join our team at BC Women's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying and addressing clinical education and knowledge translation needs in perinatal care.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and Prioritize Clinical Education Needs: Collaborate with program leaders, clinicians, researchers, and health facility administrators to identify and prioritize clinical education and knowledge translation needs in perinatal care.
- Develop and Implement Knowledge Translation Strategies: Plan, implement, and evaluate strategies to meet clinical education and knowledge translation needs, either individually or as a team leader.
- Establish and Monitor Knowledge Translation Frameworks: Develop and monitor knowledge translation and evaluation frameworks, including outcome measures and quality assurance strategies, in collaboration with Provincial Leads and Provincial Medical Directors.
- Provide Consultation and Support: Offer consultation and support to PSBC staff, regional health authorities, and other stakeholders on clinical education needs and issues to promote quality clinical education practice and staff development.
- Initiate and Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and participate in quality improvement and knowledge translation initiatives, and provide support for the development of outreach education initiatives or conferences aligned with organizational, provincial, and program priorities.
- Maintain Expert Knowledge and Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest trends in education and healthcare by reviewing literature, attending relevant conferences, and liaising with external organizations and professional associations.
- Education and Experience: A Master's degree in nursing, education, or a related field, plus a minimum of five years of recent related work experience in clinical perinatal care, healthcare quality improvement, and knowledge translation.
- Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability in developing knowledge translation theories, principles, and practice; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels; and demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
