Admissions and Operations Coordinator

Job Summary
This is a challenging role that requires strong organizational and communication skills. As an Admissions and Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing various administrative office functions, including admissions, registrations, course completion tracking, and financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient information systems to manage admissions, registrations, and course completions
- Process complex reports and provide relevant information in a timely manner to Institutional Research
- Establish reporting structures and functions via database management
- Foster effective communication with students, staff, and community members to ensure a professional atmosphere
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with FOIPOP regulations and procedures
Financial Responsibilities:
- Assist with budget processes for cost recovery projects
- Ensure timely processing of student billings, invoices, and refunds
- Formulate suggestions for policy and procedural improvements
- Initiate contact with funders and respond to financial queries for CE and sponsorship
Community Education Responsibilities:
- Support CE programmers by helping to formulate business models for course offerings
- Consult on criteria for course viability and assist with course management
- Provide guidance and support for the development of the course calendar
- Certificate production and distribution as appropriate
Campus Specific Duties/Expectations:
- Participate in campus committees as operationally required
- Book appointments for the Academic Advisor
- Process sponsorship forms and correspond with local funding organizations for Trades students
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years relevant experience
- Minimum of two years post-secondary business and office administration
- Sound judgement and exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with multi-tasks, responsibilities, and inquiries in very short time spans
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to articulate College policies and procedures for most operational departments
- Able to meet extremely demanding work schedules and deadlines in a constantly changing environment
Salary Information: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
