About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Kiwi Constructors Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts according to codes, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, ensuring precise measurements and quality finishes.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance to ensure they meet safety standards and quality expectations.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • Carpenter Trade Certification
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
