Position Overview

As the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring FortisBC meets regulatory and non-regulatory compliance with GHG reporting requirements. You will lead the development of processes, methodologies, and improvements of systems to ensure appropriate reporting and management of greenhouse gas emissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align your expertise with FortisBC's business, focusing on GHG reporting as it relates to our operations and strategic vision.
  • Manage tasks that feed into the decarbonization objectives, including research, developing methodologies, and fieldwork.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with GHG reporting requirements, including data management and analysis, and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Evaluate existing processes, procedures, and systems to improve current practices and future-proof reporting activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for GHG and emissions-related topics, including emissions regulations, carbon credit programs, air quality, and permitting.
