We are seeking a skilled Apiary Worker to join our team at Poelman Apiaries Ltd. as a seasonal worker.
Job Summary:The Apiary Worker will be responsible for maintaining the bee yard and beekeeping equipment, performing general farm duties, and assisting with apiary and honey harvesting operations.
Responsibilities:- Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment
- Perform general farm duties
- Assist with apiary and honey harvesting operations
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods
- Previous experience in beekeeping or a related field is an asset
- Ability to work in a rural area and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to distinguish between colours and have good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads
- On-site housing options
- 40-60 hours of work per week
- English as the primary language of communication
