Job DescriptionThe Executive Chef Lead will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and service. This includes managing kitchen staff, planning menus, estimating food costs, and maintaining inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate labour costs and maintain records of food consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Analyze operating costs and data to inform menu planning and cost control decisions.
- Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, promoting consistency and excellence.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions, delivering personalized service and meeting their needs.
- Plan menus that meet quality standards, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative flair.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, emphasizing safety and hygiene protocols.
