Job Title: Floor Layer

We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team at Soni & Sons Construction. As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Prepare floors for installations
Work Environment:

As a Floor Layer, you will work in a variety of settings, including urban areas and various locations. You will be exposed to odours and dusty environments.

Requirements:
  • Physically demanding work
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role. You will work 32 hours per week and will be required to work in a team environment.

The language of work is English.
