Job Title: Process Planner

Motor Coach Industries is seeking a skilled Process Planner to join our team. As a Process Planner, you will play a critical role in maintaining and creating production routings and bills of material from engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interpret engineering releases by implementing Engineering Change Orders and Notices (ECO, ECN), and Engineering Authorized Deviations (EAD).
  2. Create production routings with estimated labor times for fabricated parts, assemblies, and installations (as applicable).
  3. Calculate raw material usage for new fabricated parts (where applicable).
  4. Update production routings of component parts and sub-assemblies.
  5. Provide new design and contract support, completing required tasks for new contract readiness such as CFA level routings, bill split and reconciliation, structure kit routings and install hours reconciliation.
  6. Load and revise standard estimating data.
  7. Complete and maintain manufacturing bills for sales releases.
  8. Create and distribute drawing packages for the shop floor.
  9. Complete identified process planning audit and output reports.
  10. Interpret and complete Planning Change Requests (PCR).
  11. Communicate with manufacturing engineering, production, inventory control, purchasing, and production control planning to ensure implementation of engineering changes.
  12. Provide bid & sales release customer request (SRCR) labor estimates as requested.
  13. Attend and participate in process improvement projects.
  14. Assist in resolving MRP processing errors.
  15. Attend virtual reviews as required.
  16. Support manufacturing engineering and production engineering.
  17. Support other related process planning tasks as needed.
  18. Participate in SWAT meetings and action open SWAT issues as required.
  19. Conduct process observations (as assigned).
  20. Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  1. Post-secondary degree in engineering or technology or equivalent manufacturing process planning experience.
  2. APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
  3. Experience in labor and materials planning in an MRO environment.
  4. Proficiency in Oracle and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  5. Ability to travel up to 0%-10% of the time.
