Expert French Translator for Wealth Management

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert French Translator to join our Global Wealth Management Linguistic Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in the success of our organization by translating, adapting and revising high-visibility client-facing documents and internal communications.

As a translator-reviser, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Translation and Adaptation: Translate and adapt high-visibility client-facing documents as well as internal communications related to the operations of a wealth management organization
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure tone of voice and articulation are consistent with brand standards for translated materials through rigorous quality assurance
  • Review and Feedback: Review translations provided by internal translators and external suppliers, provide constructive feedback to colleagues and foster peer learning

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will also be responsible for editing French-only material, proofreading, editing and approving final versions (for print, Web, internal systems, etc.), juggling multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment and maintaining and using translation memories, terminology bases and style guides.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant translation experience and 3 years of revision experience, preferably in the marketing industry, in a corporate environment
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in translation
  • Complete fluency in both written and oral Canadian English and Canadian and Québec French, as well as excellent cultural knowledge of the source and target languages
  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience with computer-assisted translation and project management software
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure both independently and as part of a team, with strong adaptability skills

An asset would be having financial education and experience working with Flowfit, memoQ and machine translation.
