Our team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our facilities support team as a Housekeeping Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including the Administration Building, Lodge, Detox, and client rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all vacated rooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for client intake
  • Wash and dry bed linens and towels
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks, including specific checklists for the Lodge and Cabins
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, adhering to WHMIS guidelines
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or potential hazards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and games
  • Sanitize high-traffic areas
  • Assist with client duties and responsibilities related to maintaining clean and orderly rooms

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with daily cleaning and housekeeping routines
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Physical fitness, including the ability to lift 40 pounds

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or maintenance experience an asset
  • Experience working in a healthcare or addiction treatment setting an asset
