We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in providing strategic advice and guidance to leaders across the organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in human resources, with experience working in a complex unionized environment. You will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to foster effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on labor relations, employment legislation, and collective bargaining agreements;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize operational efficiencies and improve organizational effectiveness;
  • Serving as a strategic advisor on human resource matters, including recruitment, retention, attendance management, compensation, employee engagement, training, and development;
  • Supporting the HR Manager in leading the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee;
  • Maintaining knowledge of HR best practices and industry standards by attending approved seminars or conferences and reviewing relevant journals and publications.

We offer a competitive salary range of $86,398 - $107,997, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
