Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Veolia Group, a global leader in environmental services. As a key member of our Water Technology Business, you will play a crucial role in driving innovative solutions for decarbonization, depollution, and resource regeneration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical engineering solutions for our membrane systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Serve as the point of contact for sustaining engineering efforts related to electrical, instrumentation, and PLC program work, collaborating with production, product managers, commercial engineers, and project engineering teams.
  • Support the engineering effort on various programs and projects for new and existing membrane-based systems, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting customer and manufacturing problems related to all membrane systems, engaging with suppliers and third-party vendors as necessary.
  • Support localization and technology transfer to other regions, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Global Products Platform engineering team to drive process development and objective achievement.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or engineering degree in an engineering or science-related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software for developing or adjusting electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens and/or Schneider programming.
  • Knowledge of the configurable membrane systems portfolio at VWTS through engineering, commissioning, manufacturing, product management, or process teams.
  • Industrial product design experience in water treatment involving membrane separation processes (RO, UF, ED/EDI/EDR).
  • Understanding of engineering standards for documentation, engineering review processes, and common regional regulatory requirements.
  • Self-motivation, quick delivery, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated dedication to safety and a strong commitment to quality.
  • English writing and speaking proficiency is mandatory.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in related fields.
  • Experience with business management software, e.g., SAP and Eng. change processes.
  • Programming and computer model development skills using Excel, Google Sheets, etc.

Location Requirements:

  • Guelph, ON, CA or Minnetonka, MN USA.
  • Approximately 10-20% travel required, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
