At tuft + paw, we're dedicated to crafting exceptional customer experiences for cat enthusiasts. As a seasoned professional with a passion for logistics, operations, and 3PL management, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our logistics operations forward as the Logistics Operations Manager.

This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the entire process from Vendor to Customer, encompassing logistics management, inventory control, 3PL management & relations, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Logistics Management:
    • Oversight and coordination of transportation and delivery of goods from suppliers to our warehouse and from our warehouse to customers.
    • Maintenance of records to track, audit, and report on inbound and outbound shipping costs.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Implementation of a formal cycle count program, including an annual year-end count.
    • Development of tools to monitor and verify inventory levels based on sales and receipt of goods to avoid stockouts.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identification of inefficiencies in the logistics process and development of strategies for improvement, including B2B fulfillment and future readiness for new partners, inventory balancing across warehouses.
  • 3PL Management:
    • Management of relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure effective outsourcing of warehousing, distribution, and fulfillment services.
    • Monitoring and evaluation of 3PL performance through regular reviews and performance metrics to ensure they meet agreed-upon service levels.
    • Prompt address of any issues or challenges with 3PL partners to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance:
    • Evaluation of all logistics activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Maintenance of proper documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Utilization of data and metrics to evaluate logistics performance and inform decision-making.
    • Identification of opportunities to reduce operational spend using data-driven insights.

Requirements:

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Close collaboration with other departments, such as Customer Care, Planning, and Product, to support operational aspects of projects and initiatives.
    • Provision of regular reports as required on key business areas.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address logistics challenges and develop innovative solutions.
    • Foresight to identify and prioritize opportunities to ensure future success.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain management, 3PL, or a related field.
    • Comfortable working with WMS and IMS software.
  • Location:
    • Based in Vancouver (or remotely in Canada), aligning with the company's operating hours.
